An unexceptional restaurant. Long-ish menu. 3 of us had the oven cooked branzino. It was nicely served but pretty tasteless. The fillet steak was cooked medium rare as requested. The pineapple desert again nicely presented but could have been tinned then flambé. Room may be historical but dark and not in a good way. Overall wouldn’t go back.

The historical importance of the restaurant is invaluable . The food was authentic and very tasty , the staff were attentive but not overly so - I would highly recommend this very special restaurant where the rustic decor transports you back in time to a Venice you wish you’d experienced . The prices aren’t over the top when you compare to the touristy places which cannot compete on any level

We were early (7 PM) so it was quiet by nature. Beautiful setting, friendly, knowledgeable service and outstanding food. The fish was prepared perfectly and the appetizers were unique and tasty. We did the brandade and the saree en saor.

Delicious food, amazing to see dessert assembled in front of us by our waiter, incredible surroundings. An absolute must do in Venice! Highly recommended experience.

The service was excellent and the food, other than the Branzino that still had lots of bones after fileting it, very mediocre. Mussels were extremely salty. The website showed a nice old Restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere, but it wasn’t that at al, we sat like all tourists outside and nobody was inside. Nor was it pretty nor attractive in the small Restaurant inside.

Food was excellent. Had the fish of the day and it was very good. Also had a bottle of wine and dessert to finish it off. The price was reasonable as well. Staff were very cheerful and warm.

Atmospheric old restaraunt with attentive service and well cooked food. We have eaten there before and yes it is pricey but we take advantage of the discount offered from staying at their sister Locande. Would reccommend if you dont mind paying and want style as well as good food

The steamed vegetables were terrible, the mushroom potato was as small as a sample. The waiter picked our plate while we were eating. The other meals were middle quality. The room we have been placed was very poor and the lighting was cool white energy saving lamp. We felt ourselves not in Venice, but in a jail.
