It doesn’t get better than this; the fish was amazing and the tastes of the vegetables were perfect I don’t know how Antonella the chef does it but we have had the most wonderful meals and dining experiences in this restaurant; do not miss a stop here if you love fresh ingredients and delicious food.

Ottima cena a base sia di carne che di pesce. Piatti ricercati, ottima presentazione e ottima la qualità delle materie prime. Personale attento, cortese e sollecito. Siamo stati accolti in 12 in una saletta riservata dove è stata allestita una bellissima tavola per tutti. Per dessert un'ottima torta di sfoglio con crema e fragoline concordata precedentemente. Torniamo sempre volentieri

Exceptional - this is a hidden gem in Lucca that even many Lucchese don't know about. It's a beautiful courtyard with a stunning restaurant interior. The staff are kind, courteous, knowledgeable and professional - this is a 5* experience. The food is exceptional, the wine list large and easy to read - they offer half bottles so you can choose wisely with many local wines on offer. There is no rush, and no waiting; there are no interruptions, but there is careful service; I have rarely felt as looked after - particularly in Lucca where there are many well-known restaurants but perhaps only a handful worthy of real exceptional praise - nor have I loved the food and attention to detail. My new favourite - I cannot wait to return.

We booked a table outside but as soon as the maitre d' spotted i used a walking aid they wanted to shove us in the back with the families with babies, I got the distinct impression that it was sheer prejudice against people with disablities. I stood my ground and insisted and after that the atmosphere relaxed and the young person serving was warm and welcoming. Food and ambience was lovely and will go back but I think they need to welcome customers of all kinds as well as the beautiful young things.

A perfectly delightful restaurant. The wine list is extensive and very fairly priced, the food was uniformly excellent, and the service professional and unobtrusive.

We loved everything about our dining experience. The courtyard setting was lovely, the table set with nice linens. The lady who advised us on wine was an expert and very tactful, I saw her interactions with other guests and she was a true professional. Service was friendly and efficient. All the food was delicious and the servings were generous. Highly recommended

Beautiful place with friendly staff. The parmesan eggplant and the tuna covered with pistachios were delicious.

Excellent food. I felt the wait staff were pushing us along a bit too quickly however. They were polite but aloof. Not really interested in enhancing the experience.

The food was excellent, however on the evening we visited, the service was lacking. We waited 45" for our order to be taken after 2 requests for service.

We visited al Olivo for dinner 30.03 and 04.04 2024. Best restaurant in Lucca, for sure! Exellent food, faboulous winelist, beautifull room and super staff. We will always come back.

Every course was delicious. Foie gras was amazing. One of my favorites. Veal medallions were done to perfection and the ravioli was terrific. Then came the tart with chantilly cream and fruit. So good. A 25th anniversary dinner to remember.

We celebrated dinner on my 50th Birthday here...and it was wonderful. The service was amazing, location was nice on a more quiet piazza...and the food was absolutely brilliant! Started with an amuse bouche compliments of the chef, then pasta for me with fresh zucchini and grana padano cheese - YUM! Wine was wonderful. An overall excellent experience.
