Ristorante Buca Mario

Excellent food and service. Had the lasagna as well as the wild boar pasta. Finished it off with tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake.

Schrecklich. Ein unhöflicher Kellner hat meine Frau und mich schrecklich behandelt. Wir bestellten ein bestimmtes Gericht, und als ein anderer Kellner kam, um es zu servieren, kam es falsch. Wir wollten nachfragen, und der erste Kellner kam und stritt mit uns Gästen und sagte, wir hätten tatsächlich dieses Gericht bestellt. Wir stornierten die Bestellung und ich bezahlte nur für ein Pastagericht, das unglaublich teuer war.

We were disappointed with our experience and meal. The meat was not good quality and the sides were disappointing and tasteless. Our waiter was lovely and the wine was nice.

It was too hot for me in the dining room but, as always we visit Buca Mario, food and services was great and amazing. We have been 3 times in Florence and 3 times at Buca Mario. Next time we visit, will back to dinner. Thanks to make it so good.

Excellent experience! The food was fantastic, specifically the lasagna. The staff was very welcoming, funny, and caring. At the end, they gave me an apron as a souvenir to take home which was so kind! Absolutely recommend this place. Incredible hospitality, atmosphere, and food.

I was disappointed. The food looked so delicious online. I was very excited to try the famous lasagna, but I’m afraid it looked nicer than it tasted. Our server was also not the greatest, he took longer to bring out our food than he did with the tables next to us which were seated after us. He also kept taking items from our tables like salt, pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar to use it to prepare table side items for other tables without asking. He just grabbed it, didn’t address us and kept going back and forth. We ended up skipping dessert and getting out of there.

Waiter was great. The Lasagna was good but barely warm when served. There was 3 of us and the Florentine steak for 3 was too much food. The steak was fantastic!

It was amazing, everything: the place , the food, the service, hospitality, the atmosphere. I felt that I’m in my family’s house with relatives. Lasagne war gut. Der Rest schlecht. Das Steak kam mit falschem Gargrad und extrem zäh an. Das Brot schmeckt alt. Die überteuerten Kartoffelecken waren nur lauwarm und viel zu teuer für die Menge. 5€ Coperto pro Person zu berechnen ist absolut frech. Schleimiges Personal das versucht mit Komplimenten die Fehler zu überdecken.

We had a great experince at Buca Mario! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We rarely sat for long brefore someone was checking on our needs. We had the gnocchetti and filet. Both dishes were delicious. We will definitely be back to Firenze again and Buca Mario will be a "must" on our dining list.

Just the lasagne alone makes it so awesome. They have a wide arrangement so also for people who have morw to spend this place is good for anyone! So amazing definitely recommend and will be coming back!!

Im from NZ & returned to Buca Mario tonight after 20yrs, because the first time was such a brilliant experience. There were people lining up to get in. Tonight the staff’s enthusiasm, and the quality of food was very average. It was less a dining experience and more like push them in/push them out food. Very disappointing. You could be so much more.

Buca Mario was a lovely dining experience. The restaurant is very upscale and the wait staff are very professional. The lasagna changed my life. It was so creamy and every bite was magnificent. The Florentine steak was also stellar! Thank you!!

The service was excellent, but the florentine steak was extremely undercooked and tough to eat! We have had amazing steaks all over the city and had high expectations for Buca Mario, but the quality of the very expensive steak was not good.

The restaurant was charming and the staff friendly and welcoming! However the service felt rushed and the food mediocre. Both are meals, oso bucco and chicken cacciatore, were covered in a bland tasteless tomato sauce. Nothing special.

Food was good, service was outstanding,, and the prices were insanely expensive. While we had a very good experience, the restaurant is very touristy and the kind of place you go once to try it but not again.
