The food, the service and ambience was very good. Authentic and so tasty! The Lam Chop was amazing and the waiter even walked us down the street to help us get a cab after our was finished.

Très bonne table, bon accueil et le touriste ne se sent pas pris pour un pigeon comme malheureusement dans certains restaurants.

We ordered an appetizer and three dinners (one eggplant to split as a side dish) we asked for them To come out together. They only brought mine out. We asked for the the other, my fiancés, and they seemed confused . Then they brought out the eggplant to split ten minutes later and my lasagna dinner was cold by then. We asked about his dinner and they said yes, it’s coming. That took another ten minutes. Finally his dinner came. I ate my cold dinner and cold eggplant while he ate his hot dinner and cold eggplant. The food was good until o found a long hair in the eggplant. I nearly vomited as I pulled it out of my mouth. I showed it to the waiter and he just sighed oooh, and left. The artichoke appetizer that came last, just as we asked for the bill, and said just don’t bring it, they brought anyway and it had no flavor, just boiled water flavor. I think they had an idea that we were less than pleased with our experience there. They gave us two limoncello’s and a few tiny cookies at the end. Oh well.

Fantastic restaurant. Every dish we had were outstanding. Service is warm and efficient without being efficient. You can tell this is a family run business and the owner takes pride in their service and dishes. A real gem.

La donna dai capelli neri era molto gentile. Tuttavia, gli altri membri dello staff non ci hanno nemmeno guardato negli occhi e ho sentito che ci stavano discriminando come asiatici. It was our last night in Rome so my wife, son and I thought we would give Taverna Dei Monti a try after reading all the positive reviews. Unfortunately our server made us wait 20 minutes before taking our order. He tended to two other tables that were seated after us and served them food even before taking our order. When he finally took our order, my wife asked about the lamb. He recommended the roasted lamb over the grilled lamb chops so we ordered the roasted lamb. After 30 minutes they brought us pasta carbonara by mistake. They acknowledged the mistake and promised to bring us the roasted lamb. We waited 20min more only for them to serve the most overly cooked meat in history which was completely dry and inedible. This was a complete disaster of a dinner and unfortunately the worst experience of our vacation.

Wir hatten vegetarische Antipasti, Risotto mit Garnelen, Lasagne und verschiedene Schwertfisch-Varianten. Alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt und war liebevoll zubereitet. Der weiße Hauswein war wenig komplex aber ließ sich ebenfalls sehr gut trinken. Eine urban-urige Atmosphäre mit sehr zuvorkommendem Service bei fairen Preisen. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

The staff was friendly and the food was okay. The ambiance and the location is not that good, I would not advice to go there if you just stay 2 or 3 days. There are far more special and authentic places to eat. It was ordinary.

Restaurant was very busy. When restaurant owner / manager realized we were forgotten at the end of our meal, he quickly sent waiter with complementary limoncello & crostata. 😊😋
