The restaurant is quaint & certainly off the beaten path. You’re seated in a cute courtyard surrounded by seemingly residential buildings. They greet you with a complimentary glass of Prosecco that’s very good. Menu is varied. We ordered the prosciutto with melon and burrata. The burrata was good. Tomatoes were really ripe The melon was other worldly and the prosciutto outstanding. We ordered the sole meuniere. Highly recommend. Was done perfectly. Also got the veal cheeks. The softest most awesome meat ever. On a bed of polenta. We ordered the tiramisu. It was good.They had quite a few desserts. They brought a small plate with pastries that were nice. Overall great service, solidly really good food and they are eager to please which is big in my book. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Venice and would go back if I had the opportunity.

Fantastic place to go, great food, wonderful staff and service, would have gone again last night but they are closed on Monday, will definitely recommend this place to other people.

Nice place to have good food and some excellent wine from the region: Veneto ... Verona ... Pleasant atmosphere a few steps from San Marco Piazza ....

Servizio ottimo. Il Posto va rimodernato . Carta dei Vini molto confusionaria. Lo propongo ma non a tutti . Non mi hanno proposto il dolce .

Il potenziale ci sarebbe anche, posto accogliente e cucina anche buona ma il servizio e l'organizzazione da rivedere in tutto!Sarà stata la serata meno appropriate, Cenone di Capodanno, ma se pago un piatto 30/40 euro, un solo piatto...esigo che sia tutto perfetto!

Bad experience. Food is really tasteless. Very expensive for what it is. Presentation of the food is below standards. The kitchen needs to improve a lot . Service is also poor . The only good thing was the main waiter! He tried to fix the chaos when he realised that we were not pleased. So... I don’t recommend this place and I will not come back myself. Ottimo cibo e ambiente accogliente, il servizio incluso nel conto mi è risultato molto indigesto...come tutti anche i camerieri hanno lo stipendio...non mi è piaciuto dare il 12 % in più al servizio, non dovrebbe essere un obbligo lasciare la mancia

We loved the variety of the menu, from pasta’s to great fish dishes and lovely meat dishes. The service was great with the staff friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our dinner at Antico Pognolo and we highly recommende it to every one.

We’re greeted warmly and ‘given’ a glass of proseco each. Ordered from the menu - all very nice - but prices are 15/20% higher than shown on their website. Service was typically Italian and then came the bill. Weknew about the 12.5% service charge and the €4 each cover charge, but to whop on €16 for 2 glasses of proseco that we didn’t ask for was sharp practice - sadly all to common hereabouts. Also, the wine list is extensive and the wines shown very expensive, but on demand they do have house wine (vino da casa) at a much more sensible price which is not shown on the menu! Sharp practice again? The food and ambience was good, but there are many, many other establishments in Venice with similar offerings so I would not return, and advise caution to anyone not wanting to be on the end of sharp practice!

Sehr freundliche, vielsprachige, aufmerksame Bedienung, ausgezeichnete Nudelgerichte, frisch zubereitete Nachspeisen (Auswahl am Tisch), klassisches italienisches Ambiente. Hohe Preise. Sehr gute Lage nahe am Markusplatz. Absolut empfehlenswert

Buon ristorante, di impronta classica, con un menù abbastanza vario. Il servizio, di per se eccellente, pecca nel rapporto qualità-prezzo. Carissimo per ciò che offre. Piatti troppo semplici risulta molto adatto ad un turista abbagliato dalla location vicinissima a piazza San Marco. Sopravvalutato.

Sea bass and potato dish could use a little bit flavoring. Ambiance is great. A bit expensive but not surprising given everything is more expensive in Venezia.

Buona cucina con piatti curati. Primi e secondi di pesce di buona qualità. Alcuni dolci particolari e interesanti. Un po troppo caro nel rapporto qualita prezzo. Si arriva con 2 patti facilmente a 80 euro a testa senza vini.

Solo un primo di spaghetti al pomodoro , un primo con pesce e due bottiglie di acqua NON POSSONO FAR PAGARE Euro 93,00 ! Comunque la qualità era scadente !

Repas de grande qualité et service prévenant; les meilleurs ingrédients d'une soirée très agréable. Ce n'est pas notre premier passage dans l'établissement et ce n'aura pas été le dernier.

Excellent food and service. We'be been coming here for nearly twenty years and always have an amazing time. Menu isn't as exhaustive as it used to be but what is provided is excellent quality.

Food and service very Unsatisfactory. Il forno, which is in the neighborhood is a much better option to get s tasty meal. Hope they take the cristicism seriousky and try to improve the quality

Il lato positivo era sicuramente il bellissimo cortile del ristorante, ma i porzioni sono piccoli. Ho pagato quasi 60 euro ed avevo ancora fame, quando ho finito il mio pranzo, poi un giovane camariere mi ha chiesto mancia perche non era inclusa nello scontrino.
