Less than average food and inattentive service. Been in Italy for 10 days and this was the worst meal.

Overcharged for things. Was very disappointed in experience. Should not have been charged 80 euro for A 30 euro bottle of wine we ordered. Also super rushed. What was that?? So sad this was our last night in Italy. Left a really bad taste in my mouth overall.

Purtroppo il conto era sbagliato (di oltre 50 euro!). Pur essendo stati rimborsati, ciò ha rovinato l'esperienza che altrimenti sarebbe stata molto positiva. Peccato non ci tornerò più.

The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and I found it fairly priced. Our only complaint was that we had a table downstairs and in a section completely on our own which meant no real atmosphere.

Returned here after 5 years and again were not disappointed! The food and the service were excellent, and Franco was again welcoming guests with a warm handshake and a courteous smile, something very special. Quiet when we got there, the restaurant filled quickly with large parties of families and friends. May it continue its success!

Ottimo locale dove alla tradizionalista’ dei piatti si associa la acquisita accoglienza tipica emiliana delle persone in sala e in cucina. Presente Franco Rossi, che se stimolato racconta fatti e aneddoti fra passato, presente e futuro e si approccia agli ospiti con lo charme e la gentilezza, non usuale, di altri tempi. A quattro passi da Piazza Maggiore. Un bijou da non perdere.

Peccato che non c’è un faccetta più felice e goduriosa perché per quello che ho mangiato, tortellini in brodo di cappone e uno spettacolare semifreddo mandorle ed amaretti affogati dalla cioccolata calda, ci vorrebbe una faccetta con cuori e occhi languidi

Ristorante carino ed elegante con personale pronto e gentilissimo. Però il cibo forse non è all'altezza del servizio ma comunque di qualità. Prezzo naturalmente un po' più alto di un classico ristorante ma tutto giusto.

FRANCO Rossi è sempre una garanzia di qualità , Portate deliziose con un servizio impeccabile.

Due etichette di vino ordinate dalla carta, ma di cui non avevano visibilità e quasi un'ora di attesa tra la prima e la seconda portata.

Made special trip from USA to celebrate wedding anniversary with Franco and the staff at this restaurant. They make every occasion special and memorable.

Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere, attentive service. First visited in 1980 & returned every year for about 10 years. So was eager to know if it was just as good all these years later. Was not disappointed. ❤️

We arrived at the restaurant to be greeted effusively by the owner, Franco Rossi, an “eminence gris” gentleman who welcomed personally his clientele, mainly older Italian families or friends out for a special dinner. There was much talking and laughing and a lively atmosphere. The upstairs room was smallish but beautifully decorated with blue tablecloths, porcelain china and flowers on each table. There is another in the basement for late arrivals but we did not investigate it. The service was prompt and excellent, and the food, typically Italian, beautifully presented and very tasty. The restaurant has an amazing collection of expensive wines in its cellar but we chose a local Sangiovese Superiore for €25 which was soft and smooth. The total cost was €110 for two, for two courses, coffee, grappa and the wine, which was good value for the quality of the food. As we were preparing to leave we were stopped in out tracks by a guitarist and a lady singer who entertained us with Italian canzonetta. A truly delightful evening in a narrow street off Corso del Independenza.

We were welcomed and offered a glass of fizz. Food was very good. Service very friendly especially Ronnie made us relaxed . We were so impressed are returning this evening.

Locale storico nel centro di Bologna , menu' sia di terra che di mare , non mancano le favolose tagliatelle con ragu' alla bolognese e la mitica mortadella , in sala sarete accolti dal Titolare , il Grande Franco che non manchera' di conquistarvi con la sua eleganza e simpatia . Consigliato sia per famiglie che per coppie .

Il personale gentilissimo e attento ,il principale molto particolare ....locale intimo accogliente il prezzo un Po caro rispetto al menu poco bolognese ma buono !
