The service was not great. No one paid any attention to us for most of the meal. My husbands main pasta had no taste.

Lovely family owned restaurant. Staff truly loved what they were doing. Serving good food to their customers!

Very good food well presented - out waitress (we don’t think she was Italian) was rather rude to us and complained of being very busy when we asked for something) which rather spoilt the occasion but everyone else’s was very nice and welcoming. It clear that the experience is good + place + service, usually il pirate usually gets everything right!

We are visiting Praiano all the way from New Jersey and each and everyone of us inhaled our food tonight ! Everything was AMAZING... I highly recommend Il Pirata if you’re visiting the Amalfi Coast 👌🏼

I made reservations 6 months in advance for our anniversary and they put us against wall in a corner and not near water. The food was good and our waiter was attentive. Just unfortunate they put us where they did. The bus girl was abrupt and unfriendly most of the time.

Awful experience. The owner has no problem moving patrons from their table part way through dinner without even attempting to accommodate them because he was so excited his buddy came in on his boat. This is not how you run a restaurant. Did not care when I sat at new table without acknowledgement for 5 minutes so I got up paid check and walked out only to get interrogated by their waitstaff if I paid the bill or not. I presented the receipt I just received and that still wasn’t enough. They claim their food is fresh and lightly seasoned but the octopus was almost jelly and bland. Could never in good faith recommend this place or the experience you may encounter. Many other great local places to choose from.

Staff molto cordiale e cibo buono, cucinato in modo ricercato e particolare. Location spettacolare. Unico neo, durante l'attesa per il tavolo abbiamo chiesto 3 bicchieri di prosecco che ci è stato servito quasi caldo. Comunque esperienza molto positiva.

What a beautiful setting for a restaurant! The view from your table is amazing. The food, especially the seafood is to die for! Don’t miss this restaurant when you visit the Amalfi coast. I would strongly recommend the ravioli.

Normally with a place like this the food can be average, because the setting is enough to bring people in. Not here. We had an amazing dinner and enjoyed every aspect of it.
