Very friendly and professional staff. Attentive but not overbearing, with excellent menu recommendations and historical knowledge. Food was excellent and fresh. Wait time was less than expected. The tiramisu is an absolute must!

This was our first trip to Venice and we had no restaurant recommendations from friends. I did some research and came across Taverna La Fenice several times. So glad I found it because this was absolutely the best dining experience we had in Venice. Outstanding dinner!!!! Each course was better than the next. I will be dreaming about the veal filet for months! The atmosphere was lovely and the service impeccable!

Très déçue de ce restaurant ; rapport qualité prix mauvais. J’ai commandé des raviolis aux truffes ; je n’ai eu que trois ravioles dans m'on assiette et je n’ai pas senti la truffe ; j’en ai parlé au serveur qui est allé voir en cuisine le chef et on m’a répondu qu’il y avait bien de la truffe donc mon’avis n’a pas été pris en compte

Not one to go to if in a hurry, but the atmosphere and the quality of dining made this hidden gem a wonderful place to go. From the famous pre dinner cocktails sat in comfy armchairs watching the world go by... all the way to having crepes flambee prepared at our table. It was a lovely romantic evening.

This place is absolutely amazing! The decor is beautifully authentic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The terrace is a perfect spot to relax, and the location couldn't be better. To top it all off, the food was exceptional – every dish was bursting with flavor and truly delicious. Highly recommend! Typical Venetian.

Vitello Rossini was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had, emhanced by a version nice Valpolicello Ripassa in a beautiful room.

Sehr guter Ausklang eines schönen Opernabends. Nur 1 Minute vom Fenice entfernt. Auch bei Regen gut machbar. Am Ende des Abends hat uns der Kellner gefragt ob wir Schirme benötigen. Sehr aufmerksam!

Abbiamo pranzato in 4, all'aperto in un suggestivo spazio a poca distanza dal teatro la Fenice. Servizio impeccabile. Abbiamo gustato piatti della tradizione e non, eseguiti in modo eccellente con materie prime ricercate. Esperienza ottima!!

Lovely place to eat nice ambience and food - v Italian

Quite a big disappointment and nothing to what we expected. The restaurant inside smells of mould and the chairs are quite uncomfortable and need to be reapholstered. During our dinner, they removed the bread and when I asked about it, the waiter said he was refilling it and would return it. He never did even after I asked him about it at some point. The food was lovely, but nothing spectacular affording the prices of the items. My husband and I had requested a pairing of the dinner, but the wines were extremely hot on an already very hot Venice evening. When I requested the second wine pairing with my next dish, that wine was also very hot! I then asked for the same wine I’d had previously and it was atleast served cooler. My husband was the only one that asked for dessert, but we were shocked when we asked for the bill and we had been charged for items we had not ordered, received nor eaten. These were removed when we raised it with the waiter, but it was disappointing that such an establishment had over charged us.

Service was acceptable but not welcoming or friendly. Menu for a summer dinner was heavy food better suited for a winter meal.

Everything was amazing! Best meal in Venice. Will be back soon.

This restaurant is very much off the beaten path, but still easy to get to. We noticed the ambiance of the restaurant which was quirky with indoor seating outside for drinks and a few tables filled with customers - this attracted us to take an inside table. The inside was very authentic Venetian full of crimson and dark wood - a cosy romantic atmosphere virtually in a private dinning setting. Low lightening and music at the right volume added to the experience. The waiters are a little slow for my liking but perhaps that’s the Venetian way. The food was excellent on a menu that isn’t necessarily extensive. We had a pasta dish with mushrooms and the beef fillet - both were excellent and recommend.

The food was terrible, portions were small, and the service was average, especially considering how expensive this place is. 3 appetizers and three entrees with two drinks ran 220 euro. For that, we received two duck breasts that were overcooked and under-seasoned, a 4-oz portion of salmon, as well a severely overpriced zucchini flowers, and burata that was more like the consistency of mozzarella. The prosciutto and melon was acceptable, but could not redeem this otherwise terrible meal.

The location the food and the service were outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food, by far the best we’ve found in Venice yet. Stay away from the tourist traps along the canal. This place is well worth the visit.

The restaurant was in a lovely setting. The food was average, nothing really stood out. We had the zucchini flowers, my mothers are better. Our portion was small and it was strange because the people next to us ordered the same thing and they received well over double the portion we had... very strange.

Our group of 4 adults had a delightful meal at Taverna La Fenice. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and wine list had many options that we enjoyed.

The most expensive meal we ate in Florence, because we needed a place with more than seafood. Sorry that the lack of English seemed to make the experience harder, and the waiter was not trying to be pleasant. Wine good, food good. No ambience.
