Food was sublime but not exactly wow. Appetizer (fried soft shell crab) was amazing, and mussels linguini was cooked to perfection, lasagna was so so. Tiramisu was creative but the sore spot for us wasn’t service. Waiter gave us a different treatment from the couple sitting right next to us (is it because we are Asians?), we needed assistance with understanding the menu and he just brushed it off. Waiters interrupted conversations - basically just blatantly rude and if this was a non service oriented / value restaurant I would understand but alas. Our waiter was really rude, killed the entire atmosphere. So if you are asian thinking of eating here, even if you spent a bomb ordering the tasting and bottles of wine, be prepared for rude service.

Durch Zufall im Internet gefunden und kurz vor dem Opernbesuch eine online Reservierung gemacht. Das Ambiente unvorstellbar schön, nur klassische Hintergrundmusik, wunderbare Speise und Weinkarte. Wir würden es jedem empfehlen.

Мe and my mom were at the restaurant Bistro de Venise today, because we read only good reviews about this place, we were hoping to enjoy the visit. At first everything was fine, top-level service, menu in Russian, delicious food. But after visiting the restaurant my mother became ill, she had stomach problems, vomiting and diarrhea. Something with the food was wrong:((( we ate different dishes, I eat dishes from Historical Testing menu and everything is ok with me but my mother eat dishes from Classical Testing menu I am very upset because we are leaving home tomorrow and it all happened before the long road. I don't understand how this could happen because of eating at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Olga Goryainova

Despite the message I had written to say we would like the Romantic menu, the restaurant had not received it. However, they rushed to prepare our table and the food and service were truly magnificent. The presentation of my second course (the duck) could have been better but the food itself, as with each course, was superb. The sommelier suggested excellent wine to go with the meal (after our welcome Prosecco)& the heart shaped mousse cake was just the right lightness to finish with

Nous avons pris un menu dégustation 4 plats à 74€ avec accord des vins 35€. Service très sympathique et professionnels. Parlent français donc un atout pour la présentation des plats quand on ne parle pas l'Italien. Cuisine de qualité et fine. Vraiment un excellent moment.

Zeer lekker eten, maar een groot etablissement opgesplitst in kleinere kamers. Wij waren met 6 en zaten aan een tafel van 4 en helemaal in de hoek geduwd. We konden niet naar het toilet gaan of de helft van de tafel diende recht te staan. De prijs van het eten en drinken was correct voor Venetië, maar daarnaast kwam nog de coperto per persoon + ook nog eens de service en taks van extra 12%. Dit zorgde er voor dat de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding uit balans was.

Over-the-top sales pitch disguised as a dinner. A catalog awaits you when you arrive -- for 40 Euros, you can buy one of their water bottles. For 20 Euros, you can buy one of their plates. We were placed into a small, very nice area apparently reserved for tourists with foreign addresses who were bombarded with reasons to buy a more expensive wine, etc. The food was good, but not better than most. Basically, a waste of time and money.

The service was good, food was beautiful but I was expecting better place for the price. Dinner for two, 84 euros, no wine, one course.....sitting in a corner near the entrance with a couple next to us no less than 20 cm.....could be much better for the price. It is not just the food but the privacy for a conversation...

Too expensive for the quality of food and service. Menu with wine tasting. They wouldn't even bother to pour the wine at the table. I mean, they can tell you anything what kind of wine it is.. disappointing experience. Sort of a tourist trap.

Top class, servizio al top e cucina tra il nuovo e la tradizione buonissima e gustosa. Tutto buono dal primo fino al dessert. Ha il suo prezzo, ma vale la pena.

This is an overpriced and ill supplied restaurant! The service was superb! The food mediocre and the malt whisky non existent! I was charged 19€ for a run of the mill Irish whiskey when the only other they had was a six year old brew that I’d never heard of! They boast Michelin Guide in their window but no! They’ll never get a star with over cooked duck like I was served! €300 for a meal for two! Memorable for all the wrong reasons!

We've dined here a number of times and continue to be impressed. A must stop in Venice, always!

Again, another visit to this great city with a return visit to this wonderful restaurant. This time I came with friends that were visiting for the first time. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Our plates were fantastic! Our wine was delicious and desserts were fabulous, as well. I always look forward to dining here and can’t wait to return. E.C.

Food was very good. Service was a bit slow. We were there almost 4 hours for a tasting menu. We noticed others that were not doing a tasting menu were served much faster. But overall very pleased.

Ristorante di grande classe e livello. Costo rapporto qualita prezzo valido Ideale per cena romantica o una occasione speciale. Vi è anche uun valido bar per un aperitivo.

Un joli endroit, on y mange bien ! Le rapport qualité/prix reste correct pour les produits de très bonne qualité qu’ils proposent. Bel endroit pour venir dîner en amoureux.

We experienced a fabulous romantic evening on St Valentine's Day at Bistro d Venise! We were served delicious food from attentive, friendly staff and there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Thank you, we will be back!

We dined on Valentine's day which was also my wife's birthday. Most other guests had the tasting menu but being 7pm and not big eaters, elected for two courses from the main menu. After about 20 minutes we were asked if we wanted wine and told I can show you some cheap ones! Bit shocked by the judgement, which could only be based on not taking the tasting menu. The rest of the evening was great, the food very Michelin orientated, wonderful cosy atmosphere and the waiters very attentive. Would return for special occasion but Venise has many superb restaurants to chose from, so wouldn't be a regular haunt. We ended up having three courses and a bottle of wine which ironically cost as much as the tasting menu, so that option provides good value for money. Thank you Bistrot de Venis
