Gunè San Frediano

We had an amazing meal. Every part of the meal was exceptional, and the service was wonderful. It’s a lovely, elegant dining room, but not stuffy at all. We especially appreciated how accommodating they were to our family member who has some food allergies and who is a vegetarian.

Absolutely the best food I have ever eaten. Would come back tomorrow!

So amazed the foods including desserts !! The chef creates beautiful delicious dishes. They have great Italian wine selections as well. We would like to go back to the restaurant again. The service was excellent as well. Highly recommended; )

Staff was very present. There was no one as I arrived very early so the service was super fast. They had a little cake prepared for me as it was my birthday. The chet himself came to wish me a happy birthday too. Thank you very much.

Fantastic food and service We had the 8 course tasting menu. Which when including all the extras was about 13! We have been very lucky to have eaten in 5 other Michelin starred restaurants, and we would definitely say this was deserving of a star. The service was fantastic, the head waiter was charming and friendly man. And his team were great too. Everyone spoke perfect English. My only small recommendation was that the wine pairings, whilst very nice, didn’t have any that “blew my mind” so this is an area of improvements but I couldn’t fault the food. I can only assume the location is (slightly out of the main centre) is what stops it from being impossible to get a table every night.

Ce repas est un délice à la fois pour les yeux et les papilles. Le choix musical et les œuvres des artistes… célèbrent les femmes! J’adore et reviendrai.

What a fantastic place. We arrived thinking we’d have the 4 course taster menu but decided to have 8 courses after reading the menu and not wanting to miss out on some great dishes. From the time we sat down to saying our goodbyes we felt incredibly well looked after, valued, and most importantly - loved the food. The staff were attentive, welcoming and friendly throughout. Gunè stands up very well to Michelin star restaurants we’ve visited elsewhere and we’d 100% love to return. If you’re in Florence and appreciate good food - don’t miss out!

The only word to easily define this restaurant is 'bellezza". Everyhing is beauty inside: food, drinks, wine, service and atmosphere. A grat place to spend a great moment. L'unica parola per definire facilmente questo ristorante è "bellezza". Tutto è bellezza all'interno: cibo, bevande, vino, servizio e atmosfera. Un ottimo posto dove trascorrere un bel momento.

Tolles Design mit Wohlfühlambiente Unglaublich netter und professioneller Service ohne Attitüde. Wir hatten ein vegetarisches Menü, daß einem Menü mit Fisch oder Fleisch in nichts nachstand. Alles frisch und kreativ mit ordentlich Omami. Dazu eine exzellente Weinempfehlung. Sternewürdig zu einem wirklich guten Preis. Bitte hingehen - es lohnt sich!! Alexander/Berlin

Delicious food and lovely service. We ordered the 4-course meat tasting menu and were surprised by the numerous extras that were brought to the table. The whole experience was great and we definitely recommend this restaurant!

Wonderful experience and great food. Six course tasting menu was well balanced. The pigeon was terrific and loved the story behind the chef’s inspiration from his grandmother.

What an incredible meal! We enjoyed the numerous courses, inventive dishes, and wonderful wine pairings. It was a perfect complement to the more “traditional” Tuscan food and the best meal we had in Florence, bar none. Service was impeccable.

We had a very memorable meal at Gune San Frediano. Food and wine were fabulous and the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant for a special night out.

We had just eaten at a Michelin one-star hotel 2 nights earlier and found Gune to be just as satisfying in terms of ambiance, service and food. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. And our host (I believe, the owner) could share so much of the background of the food, the recipes, the history -- it was a very special evening. (For half the price of what we spent at the starred place).

Wonderful restaurant with interesting food and amazing cocktails. There are three tasting menu's to cater for all appetites.

Ristorante raffinato, ma lo chef tende a inserire troppi ingredienti si vuole stupire ma qualche volta si esagera. Curatissima la presentazione dei piatti, ottimo il piccione. Servizio accurato, peccato che due piatti siano stati invertiti ai commensali. Dolci da rivedere, meringa troppo dura.

Le portate erano squisite ed hanno stupito il gusto e non solo, la degustazione dei vini ottima...ritengo però che il servizio di questi piatti meriti qualche parola in più detta con calma (anche le mascherine non aiutano a capire bene...).
